Stolsy Capture privacy
This notice applies to the Stolsy Capture extension for Chrome and Chromium browsers.
Data handled during capture
When you explicitly start a capture, the extension reads non-incognito normal and popup windows, open tabs, and tab groups. A capture may include tab titles, URLs, order, pinned and active states, plus group title, color, and collapsed state.
Permissions
Stolsy Capture has no host permissions. Optional tabs and tabGroups permissions are requested only for an explicit capture or recovery action and are removed afterward.
Local storage and retention
The exported JSON file is a cleartext local download. The extension may also keep one plaintext recovery snapshot in browser-local IndexedDB for up to seven days.
No transmission
Stolsy Capture uses no network APIs or external URLs, and its content security policy blocks outbound connections with connect-src 'none'. Captured data is not sent to Stolsy or another service.
No ads, AI, sale, or profiling
The extension contains no ads and uses no AI. Captured information is not sold, used for advertising, or used to build profiles.
Your controls
Capture begins only when you choose it. Incognito windows are excluded. You control the downloaded JSON file and can delete it using your device’s file controls. The browser-local recovery snapshot expires within seven days.
Plaintext warning
Capture files and recovery snapshots are not encrypted by the extension. Protect them as you would any file containing private browsing context.
